Imai Tsubasa - Ikanaide |

Ok, it's been over 2 years since I've updated this journal, because technically it's dead. Themes are easier to get nowdays from other journals, D-addicts, etc. However, I'm still getting the occasional request for reuploads, about 100 of you kept this journal on your friends list, and I never officially announced that I would no longer be updating. So, as one last HUZZAH, I'm making a megaupload archive of all the drama themes I have up until now :D Hopefully it lasts for a while.
Getting everything uploaded might take a while, and right now I'm not uploading the songs in any particular order. So feel free to request songs not yet uploaded and I'll try to get to those first. It's not guaranteed I'll respond to every request to let you know when the song's been uploaded, so just keep checking back. Also, only request songs on the list. If it's not on the list, I probably don't have it. If I add anything new on my own, I'll note it down in bold.
Also note that I personally will not re-upload to other servers just because you cannot/do not want to use megaupload. Sorry! It's just that most other servers expire too quickly. You can, however, try your luck and leave a comment requesting that others reupload for you.
Ok, now that that's all out of the way ( On to the LIST! )

Love Generation Air Dates: October - December 1997 Theme Song: Ohtaki Eiichi - Shiawase na Ketsumatsu Summary: One late Tokyo night, Katagiri Teppei (Kimura Takuya) picks up Uesugi Riko (Matsu Takako) right after she's been dumped by her boyfriend. Hoping to get some, Teppei takes her to a love hotel complete with karaoke, but after all her mic hogging, Riko falls asleep, exhausted and drunk. She leaves before Teppei wakes up the next morning, and he runs to work only to find that he is being transfered to the sales department. While he should be surprised to find it is the same department that Riko works in - he isn't, because he doesn't remember her! Their love-hate relationship builds from there, and Riko helps Teppei adjust to his new conservative salaryman position in sales by, for example, chopping off his long hair ^^;
My Opinions: [Don't kill me but..] It took me a long time to find a Kimutaku drama that I could *really* get into. This drama is very cute and funny; in my opinion it is probably the epitome of a romance drama. The typical twists and turns, like Teppei's brother being engaged to his ex-girlfriend, help build up the love triangle storylines, romantic moments, and painful moments. Definitely check this one out - ESPECIALLY if you're new to J-dramas.

Yamashita Tatsuro - Ride On Time |
] |
Good Luck Air Dates: 2003-01-19 to 2003-03-23 Theme Song: Yamashita Tatsuro - Ride on Time Summary: Kimutaku stars as Hajime, a co-pilot at ANA. The drama follows his quest to become a captain; however, like all dramas there's a few bumps along the way. Hajime also begins a relationship with one of the mechanics, Ayumi (Shibasaki Kou).
My Opinions: Haha, crappy summary, crappy entry. Sorry! That's because I haven't really been watching the series. I watched the first two episodes and couldn't get into it. So this entry is mostly because a few people have been requesting the theme song :E Plus, that's all you guys probably want anyway, huh? ;p
I'll probably try put up a proper summary/opinion thing when I've caught up watching more episodes.

By request, I've uploaded the Mukodono 2003 theme. I haven't seen the series though, so I'm not making the usual drama summary post on it.
Artist: Sakuraba Yuichiro (Nagase Tomoya of Tokio) Song: Omae ya nai to akannen Comment: Just as good of a song as Hitoribochi no Haburashi was. In fact, I like this one better, but that may just be because I heard it first. [Download]

Just a reminder that I do delete the songs - normally every two entries. Currently everything after the original Mukodono post is down.
For a list of the previous drama entries I've done, go here. I do take requests for reuploads; but please don't go requesting more than two songs at a time.

Mukodono (Son-In-Law, My Husband) Air Dates: April 2001 to June 2001 Theme Song: Matsutoya Yumi - 7TRUTH7LIES Sakuraba Yuichiro (Nagase Tomoya) - Hitoribochi no Haburashi Summary: Sakuraba Yuichiro (Tomoya Nagase) is Japan's biggest star, voted most huggable man by women all over. However, underneath his cool exterior and smooth vocals lies a silly, enthusiastic, warm-hearted goofball only seen by those who know him. One day in the hospital, Yuichiro meets Arai Sakura (Takeuchi Yuko) and the two quickly fall in love, secretly going on dates and hiding their love affair until the day Yuichiro wishes to propose and ask Sakura's father for her hand in marriage. However, of course, Sakura's father is quite reluctant to let his daughter marry "the most huggable man in Japan," and to make matters worse, Sakura's family members provide quite the obstacles too. Can Yuichiro break their superstar pre-conception of him and win them over with his aloof personality?
Mukodono was remade in 2003 as Mukodono 2003 with a slightly different storyline and characters. I haven't seen it though.
My opinions: I very very much enjoyed this series; it's funny, cute, and heart-warming. Nagase Tomoya is EXCELLENT as Yuichiro Sakuraba, the contrast between his "real" self and "star" self is just hilarious. Made up of Suzuki Anju, Shinohara Ryoko, Aiba Misaki, and Kamiki Ryuunosuke (cuute! ^_^) as the Arai family, the cast gives a great performance throughout the series IMO. Definitely recommended.
Will upload upon request: Yuichiro Sakuraba - Hitoribochi no Haburashi (Acoustic Version) Yuichiro Sakuraba - Omae ya nai to akannen (Mukodono 2003 Theme) Yuichiro Sakuraba - Omae ya nai to akannen (Acoustic Version)

Seikei Bijin (Plastic Surgery Beauty) Air Dates: Ran from April 09, 2002 Theme Song: Suga Shikao - Asymmetry Summary: Yonekura Ryoko stars as Saotome Honami, a woman who has lived her life being physically ugly. Determined to turn her life around, Honami leaves the country to get full body plastic surgery and returns home a beauty. Her family is stunned at Honami's new look, and are even in disbelief that it's her - that is, until they realize that while her old LOOKS have disappeared, her personality and bad habits have not.
Honami lands a job as a model, teases an old co-worker who made fun of her, and life seems to be going her way. Later she meets a flower arrangement master named Fujishima Ryusui (although we'll hear him called "Hanaya" most of the time ^^;) and falls in love with him. So far her beauty has gotten her nearly everything else she wanted, will it get her love too?
My opinions: Not a bad series; Yonekura Ryoko is quite amusing and funny. Overall it's nothing extraorinary, but entertaining none-the-less. Konishi Manami is also in this series playing Fujishima's younger sister, and she adds some twists to the story that are semi-interesting. I just like mentioning her because I think she's pretty ^^;

Shin Hoshi no Kinka (The New Heaven's Coins/Heaven's Coins 3) Air Dates: Don't remember, don't care. Theme Song: Hoshino Mari - Garasu no Tsubasa ~Hoshi no Kinka~ Summary: Attempting to continue the phenominal Heaven's Coins saga, Shin Hoshi no Kinka is a love story about deaf-mute Mahiru (Hoshino Mari) and her search for the life and love she never knew. Abused at home in Okinawa, Mahiru meets vacationer Kazuki (Fujiwara Tatsuya) when she saves him from drowning. She later begs him to take her back with him to Tokyo, which he does after a daring dive off of the boat to swim to her ^^; The story unfolds as the two eventually live together, fall in love, and try to create a beautiful life for Mahiru. Unfortunately there are many obstacles, as all love stories do, such as the jealous and conniving Mizuki constantly trying to ruin Mahiru's life and steal Kazuki away, and the rich bad-boy Hiroto trying to have Mahiru all to himself.
My opinions: I was very disappointed with this series, especially in comparison with the original. I found it frustrating, illogical, and erm, overall pretty stupid ^^; Every character seems to have some kind of mental problem - including the "sweet, adorable" Mahiru. I really didn't like how they attempted to tie this series in with the original at the very end, and honest to god the only character I liked by the end of the series was that scarcely seen little rich girl who Hiroto had to amuse.

REQUESTS
To the person who requested TMR's Burning Xmas - sorry, I found out I don't have the whole song O_o;
Song: White Breath Artist: TM Revolution Comment: Why I associate this song with Christmas/winter, I don't know. I think it's just because he performed it on the Kohaku in this weird, cat/tiger/leopard of some sort costume. Anyway, yes, so not Xmas song except by my strange association. In any case, it's an awesome song, fast paced, one of my favorites by TMR. [Download]
Song: Winter Song (Yuki no Christmas) Artist: Yuki Hsu/Dreams Come True Comment: Okay, so I really don't know the context for this song. Or, where I got it come to think of it; but I think it was from another music lj last year. Anyway, it's a ballad sung completely in Engrish... yeah ^^; [Download]
Song: Over (Winter Version) Artist: Exile Comment: Exile's Over single carried this version as the c/w. I actually haven't listened to the original enough to give a comparison, but this version, in any case, has a nice orchestral background, light jingle-y bells in the background, and whatnot. Very nice ballad. [Download]
------
Song: Snow Kiss Artist: Speed Comment: Off of their "final" album, Carry on my way, Snow kiss is a great... medium-tempoed... song. Err, yeah. Anyway, this is probably one of the best tracks from the album, and a number of people I know deemed it single-worthy. I agree. Check it out. [Download]
Song: Issho Ni... Artist: MAX Comment: How can I resist the urge to further pimp one of my all-time favorite Jpop groups? MAX's Issho Ni... is one of their few ballads they released as a single, and was their first maxi-single come to think of it. While never hitting the same position on the charts as their preceding singles, Issho Ni... remained steady and eventually became their second best selling single! Issho Ni... itself is a beautiful medium ballad, with of course, all the chimes and bells that make it Christmas-y. [Download]
Song: Powder Shadow Artist: MAX Comment: Like I said, no resistance. Powder Shadow is the coupling track to Issho Ni..., and an equally great song. Medium tempoed (yes, that's all I know how to say) with a light bounce to it, this song's got a cute air to it - but not blatently so. Reina's vocals, IMO, are very adorable for Powder Shadow. Combined with Issho Ni... this song makes the whole single one of the best Christmas singles I've come to own: *hint hint* [Download]
Song: Ding Dong Artist: Tokio Comment: To throw in a bit of a drama-twist since this is suppose to be a drama song themed journal, Ding Dong was the theme song to the drama Yanpapa. I personally didn't care for the song the first few times around, but it did grow on me. Subtitled "Silent Night" by a few because of Tokio's dragging out of those lyrics in the beginning, this song later picks up the tempo and goes into a "ding dong ding dong dang ding dong" sequence in the chorus that's adorable and just fitting for the winter-esque song. [Download]
Song: Aka Hana no Tonakai Artist: Hello Project Comment: To throw in a little traditional Xmas songs: Off of H!P's Winter Doyou album, this is Kago Ai (Morning Musume), Ogawa Makoto (Morning Musume), and Ayaka (Coconuts Musume) singing the Japanese version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. While this version may be a little too cute for some, I simply adore it ^^; [Download]

Look who's back! Ok well, I'm not really "back." Just thought it'd be nice to post some Christmas songs while I still have a ridiculously fast upload speed...
These are all hosted at FreeHomePages, much like the mp3s from superpchan and shekimusic (yes those were plugs; check them out! ^^;). So, these will go down... whenever they go down. I'm not planning on reuploading them, so nab them fast!
Rules/Method for downloading (stolen from shekimusic :E;;: 1. Comment if you download, please. 2. Change the .bmp extension to .mp3 3. No direct-linking.
Song: Itsuka no Merry Christmas Artist: B'z Comment: Probably the epitome of all Jpop Christmas songs; most of you probably have at least heard Hamasaki Ayumi's live cover of this song. A nice ballad with a beautiful orgel opening to the song. Seriously, there's a huge gap in your Jpop Xmas Playlist if you don't have this song ^^; [Download]
Song: White Love (Christmas Standard) Artist: Speed Comment: I read a thread or two on various BBSes where people keep saying they listen to "White Love" as a Xmas song even though they feel it's not? Um, I dunno. In any case, why not just clear it up and listen to the Christmas Standard? Coming from Speed's Moment album, this version's got a really great orchestral background to it with a few light bells and whatnot... but if it really sounds more Xmas-y than the original is your call. [Download]
Song: Winter Bells Artist: Kuraki Mai </b>Comment:</b> I don't go ANYWHERE without this song during the winter months. With a light bounce to it, this song encompasses all of the Christmas-sounds in typical holiday tunes. [Download]
Song: Manatsu no Eve Artist: MAX Comment: The regular Jpop Xmas song-listener has probably heard MAX's Issho Ni... and eternal white, but they've got at least two Christmas B-sides that I figure aren't as widely known. The coupling to Feel so right, Manatsu no Eve isn't (in my opinion) blatently a Xmas song by it's sound; however I've always felt it's one of those songs you'd dance to at a Christmas party. This came out right before Mina announced her pregnancy, so the line-up for this song is the original members. [Download]

Tis all for now. Hopefully I'll get one more chance to update this (maybe Wednesday night or Thursday), so here's the Xmas song ( request list )

Shomuni series Theme Song: Esumi Makiko - One Way Drive Original Air Dates: Lasted for three seasons, the first aired in 1998 and the series ended with a special in Jan 2003. Summary: Based on a manga by the same name, Shomuni is a hilarious drama about 6 OLs (office ladies) who work in the "garbage heap" of Manpan company - the section no one dares be demoted to, the section that no one ever survives in - General Affairs 2 (GA2/Shomuni)! Unlike your ordinary OLs, Shomuni's main jobs include delivering the mail, refilling the toiletpaper, and planning company events. However, despite their seemingly lack of productivity, Shomuni is far from being inefficient. Why, they can do an inventory that would normally take 3 days in a mere 3 hours! And who else could twist in a light bulb while on a ladder showing off her long legs but Tsuboi-san (Esumi Makiko) herself? Heh, quite impressive, aren't they?
Each episode consists of Shomuni's antics to make money, daily arguments with the girls of Secretariat, plots to defend themselves against the corruption and perversions (in more than one way) of Personnel, and/or brilliant solutions to large problems that most of the time, they themselves were the cause of ^^;
This drama is just chock full of great characters: Tsukahara, hopeless yet kind-hearted; Ume, brilliant yet overly confident and anti-social; Rie, psychic and (to those who are afraid of her obscure premonitions) scary; Tokunawa, money-loving and intimidating; Kana, beautiful and seductive; and Tsuboi, strong-headed and stubborn. However, despite the seemingly clash of personalities, they all have one thing in common - the belief that people decide their own worth in life. Or, if you're Tsuboi-san, worth is decided by the amount of men a woman's "had." Did I mention their seating arrangment is based on who's slept around the most? ;P
Becoming a rather popular series, Shomuni lasted for 3 seasons (Shomuni, Shomuni 2*, and Shomuni FINAL) before signing off in the beginning of this year with the special, Shomuni FOREVER. I found that the first season was the most amusing, very much because it consisted largely of character development. Since we already got to know and love all the characters and the details about the company in the first season, the second season was a bit more bland - a stack of amusing stories/plots that really had no relevance to the series as a whole. I haven't seen the third season, but I assume it would be similar to the second season. This is not saying the second season was BAD though; but merely that it lacked the same flair the first season had since there was no real sense of discovery about characters that we didn't already know.
With three seasons there were obviously a lot of theme songs for Shomuni. I chose to upload the second season closing theme, since it's sung by lead actress Esumi Makiko and as far as I know, it's the only single she's released, which makes it special for the drama itself <3 Plus there was just this kind of awkward dance routine she did to it in the closing sequence that was pretty darn funny. Her vocals are... interesting - if you've ever heard Esumi Makiko she's got a very unique deep voice, and it doesn't change at all with her singing. Interesting fact I didn't know until I looked up more about the song - she wrote the lyrics herself. As for the song - it's upbeat and electric guitar + loud brass happy. That's all I can say.
*I call it Shomuni 2 - was never sure if there was another name for it =\

Wedding Planner Theme Song: Chemistry - Kimi wo Sagashiteta ~New Jersey United~ Air Dates: 2002-04-10 to 2002-06-26 Summary: A romantic comedy, Wedding Planner [no relation at all to the J.Lo movie!] begins with a salaryman Oomori Tooru (Yusuke Santamaria) who was about to get married to his girlfriend. However, an unexpected twist of events leaves him stranded at the altar on the big day when his bride runs out on him during the ceremony with another man.
The drama plunks us down one year later in his life -- bitter, single, wary of love, and still living with his parents. As if to make things worse, his boss transfers him to a separate department in work, where he is now head of a wedding planning company -- and weddings are the last thing on his mind.
However, the Sweet Bridal wedding group certainly don't welcome their new president with open arms -- they've already established an order amongst themselves. Tooru has a jaded outlook on weddings, seeing them as good sources of income, whereas the planners are all about the love, not the dough. Particularly the biggest thorn in Tooru's side is vice president Terashima Kanako (Iijima Naoko), a confident single mother who seems to clash with him on just about everything -- their childish bickerings are a must-see for those who enjoy comedy.
She's not the only problem Tooru has to deal with, however. Kanako's second-hand is Misaki (Kimura Yoshino), a seemingly cool, chic, and secure woman on the outside, but also struggling with her complicated love life with an older divorced man. There's also the young Kurumi (Ito Ayumi), who struggles to find her own place out of the shadow of Misaki as a planner. Jun the gardener (Abe Hiroshi) offers dry wisdom and advice to the planners while crushing hard on a certain planner, and then you also have the stoic, cold photographer Shuhei (Tsumabuki Satoshi) who reluctantly decides to work for the company.
The story is for the most part light, comedic, and romantic -- but the side stories with weddings in each story are also interesting and sometimes even heartbreakingly sweet. A drama with a very close cast (both on and off screen) who are very talented in what they do, the series is a must for all you romance comedy fans.

Great series, great song, you all must watch this drama ;)

------------------
Mayonaka no Ame (Midnight Rain) Theme song: Oda Yuji - Sonnamondarou Original Air Dates: Oct-Dec 2002 Summary: Mayonaka no Ame is a dark drama about surgeon Tokura Takashi (Oda Yuji) who has recently been headhunted to work in Izumida Byouin, a private hospital filled with brilliant surgeons. Tired of having to blindly take orders from the higher ups, Tokura agrees to join the new hospital in hopes of better conditions. However, rather than just gaining better pay and more challenging surgeries, Tokura's transfer to Izumida ends up revealing truths about his past that he had never imagined he'd uncover.
Through a number of circumstances, the rebellious Tokura becomes allies with water-fearing detective Mizusawa Yukiko (Matsuyuki Yasuko) and slowly they discover the strange connection they have with each other regarding a fatal accident that ended up in the death of Tokura's mother years before. As the drama progresses on, we learn that it is not only Tokura and Mizusawa that were involved in that one incident, but a number of people they would have never suspected - right there gathered together in Izumida Hospital.
This drama is basically a combination of "hospital dramas" with "incredibly twisted suspense/mystery" dramas. It's an interesting mix of "Is s/he gonna survive?" and "Who done it?" - if you like either one of those (moreso the latter though), this drama is definitely for you. The surgery scenes are a little overused with repeated scenes of things like manual heart-pumping and tend to slow the drama down, but fast forward though those parts and it's all good. Or don't fast forward, if you happen to like slow, painful suspense.
The bond of fate and weird circumstances is, IMO, incredibly unrealistic and too drawn out, but it is quite a fun guessing game of who-really-did-what for the viewer. The "No one is ever what he seems to be" aspect will definitely keep you on your feet, or frustrate you to your very core until the end, either way - I'd recommend it to the mystery (or maybe just Oda Yuji)-lover.
Lead actor Oda Yuji sings the theme to his own drama once again. I don't know how to describe the song (oo, what a surprise xD), there's kind of a light rock sound I guess. Anyway, good song, even better if you've seen the neat opening sequence that goes along with it in the drama <3 As always, check it out!

Bijo ka Yajuu (Beauty or Beast) Air Dates: Started Jan. 2003 Theme Song: Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra - Ginga to Meiro Summary: After graduating from the Tokyo University School of Law, Makoto Tamiya (Matsushima Nanako) goes on to Harvard University where she earns an MBA. She later works at one of the "big three" networks in the United States as a news reporter. While covering a story on an international symposium in Paris, Makoto is scouted to work for JBC Television in Japan. The news producer at JBC wants to use Makoto to help raise low viewer ratings. He persuades her to work for him for an absurdly high salary, and also gives her the right to hire who she needs.
While Makoto is being brought in to be the savior of the News Department, one man gets transferred from the Variety Department. His name is Hiromi Nagase (Fukuyama Masaharu). Since joining JBC Television, all he has done is variety programs. Although Hiromi has done everything he possibly could to ensure his programs are a success, his boss just could not could take any more of Hiromi's behavior which ranged from getting caught up in scandals with female television personalities, punching-out assistant directors, to taking kickbacks from production companies. His boss finally tells Hiromi to make a fresh start in the "hard nosed" News Department.
So now the News Department has Makoto who thinks high ratings are the meaning of life, and Hiromi who values the success of a program as just a tool for the full enjoyment of life. These two totally different personalities mix it up and somehow reach a mutual understanding, creating a delightful "light comedy" for adults.

Boku dake no Madonna ...and I love her. Original Air Dates: July-September 2003 Opening Song: Southern All Stars - Namida no Umi de Dakaretai ~SEA OF LOVE~ Summary: Boku dake no Madonna is a really good drama about this college junior named, Kyoichi Suzuki (Hideaki Takizawa, "Tackey") who finally gets away from his parents. He has a new apartment of his own near the college campus, but everyone's watching him too. He's mostly never at his apartment so it's messy. He finds out that someone's been sleeping there and cleaning it up for him. Then later on, he finds out that it's this girl, named Surumi (Kyoko Hasegawa). It's pretty good, so you should go see it!
The opening song is VERY lovely and it's currently (weekly) Number 1 on the charts.

Matsuyuki Yasuko - Running in the Sun |
] |
Matsuyuki Yasuko - Running in the Sun Like most J-actresses, Matsuyuki Yasuko (Garasu no Kakeratachi, Kira Kira Hikaru) has done her share of singing too. This is a random track off of her Pray album that I found interesting. Matsuyuki's voice is mediocre yet nice; she reminds me of a seiyuu singer for some reason, actually. The way this particular song begins and builds at parts is reminiscent of an anime-type song (EDIT: Bah, never mind.). Running in the Sun ironically doesn't really give me the feeling of running though - it's actually rather medium paced. Very nice sax instrumentals in the background. I found this to be a good song on the first listen, so check it out.
Goto Maki - Kare Ryokou Chuu Nari (B-side of Maki's Uwasa no Sexy Guy single) This one's just a random upload I chose after watching part of Goto's Makking Gold concert. Contrasting the James Bond-esque title song, Kare Ryoukou Chuu Nari is a very cute song and light-hearted. Instrumentals reminds me of the rumba...? Um, yeah ^^; I'll stop now. Do take a listen.

Garasu no Kakeratachi (Shards of Glass) Theme Song: Fujii Fumiya - Another Orion (Ballad) **** Air Dates: July-Sept 1996 Summary: Garasu no Kakeratachi was a pretty dark drama about a photographer named Atsuya (Fujii Fumiya) who falls in love with his boss' mistress, Shoko (Matsuyuki Yasuko). In a way it was a typical complicated love story, but with more manipulation and violence than the usual love story. Atsuya must constantly choose between Shoko and his career, as Kisaragi (his boss) threatens the existance of Atsuya's career if he furthers his relations with Shoko. Their relationship also affects Atsuya and Shoko's friends and family when Kisaragi starts harassing them.
Okay that wasn't exactly the best summary, but that's because I watched the drama years ago, so don't remember the details that made the drama really interesting. I do remember that it was quite a dark series (hitmen, miscarriages, spouse abuse) and that the boss was rather a psycho.
Matsuyuki Yasuko's role slightly disappoints me because I like her strong roles such as Tsukiyama (might've gotten the name wrong) in KiraKiraHikaru and her lead in Nanisama! She's kind of the damsel in distress, seems quite disturbed and often gives in (read: WEAK).
Anyhow. The theme song is done by our singing lead actor Fujii Fumiya. Another Orion is a slow ballad, might put you to sleep. I however really love this song, probably because of the sentimental value as the drama's theme. I also really really love Fujii Fumiya's vocals in this song, they're... rich ^^; The song's made up of a lot of notes that are held out long, and he does a very nice job singing them. I also love songs that start off with rather quiet and slow at first, then really start to build towards the end with the instrumental arrangement and vocals. And the lyrics, well, the ones I understand at least (^^;;;) - very pretty. Kimi no tame ni boku wa tsuyokuuu naruuu... *koff* Yeah.

Chonan Kan - Ai no Uta ~Chonmaru Sarang heyo~ |
] |
Since it was Tsuyoshi (of SMAP) that stars in Narita Rikon, here's some Tsuyoshi fillers ^_^
SMAP - Ai ga nai to Tsukareru Off of SMAP's Su album, here's Tsuyoshi's solo song, Ai ga nai to Tsukareru. The song's cute and medium tempo-ed; I get a relaxed feeling listening to it. Personally I think Tsuyoshi's vocals need to be more polished though ^^; Nice jazz-y feeling with the sax and instrumentals.
Chonan Kan - Ai no Uta ~Chonmaru Sarang heyo~ "Chonan Kan" is Tsuyoshi's Korean alter ego. Personally I find Chonan Kan kind of scary (what is with the makeup?!?) ^^;, but he's fun. This song is completely in Korean (well, with the exception of English), produced by none other than Tsunku. As expected, it's a happy, catchy tune. Forgive the butchering of the Korean spelling in the title - I wasn't sure how to do it.

Matsutoya Yumi - Sunny Day Holiday |

Narita Rikon (Narita Divorce) Theme Song: Matsutoya Yumi - Sunny Day Holiday (Ballad) ** Original Air Date: Fall 1997 Summary: Narita Rikon stars Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (SMAP) and Seto Asuka as a newly wed couple suddenly realizing their differences and deciding to get a divorce. After being stood up a cold Christmas night, Yuko (Seto Asuka) meets Ichiro (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) and they begin a wonderful relationship. However, at their wedding, Ichiro collapes after failing to tell people about his fever. Later on Yuko and Ichiro's honeymoon, Yuko discovers even more how irresponsible Ichiro can be when he always orders the same thing she does (he couldn't read the menu) and gets mugged when buying a bunch of frog keychains. Needless to say, their honeymoon is ruined and Ichiro in turn finds out the temper Yuko has when she yells at him in the middle of the airport. On an angry whim, the two decide to get a divorce.
However, getting a divorce proves to be a lot harder than they had expected, especially when they've just bought a house and everyone around them are still busy expressing their congratulations to the couple. Things become even more complicated when Yuko's father disapproves, Ichiro's co-workers start interferring, and Yuko leaves the responsibility of turning in the divorce papers to Mr. Irresponsible himself. How exactly will the situation pan out for Yuko and Ichiro?
Hikaru's Opinion: I've only seen a few episodes so far, but I think it's a cute series. It's mildly captivating too, as I'm often inbetween cheering them on for a divorce or staying together. As their time goes on as a married couple, we see different aspects of both Yuko and Ichiro's characters that we can either love or hate. A nice flow of circumstances, and well-developed characters. Tsuyoshi does a great job in his role :)
